Shinogi vaseShinogi, close-up of the surface

Named after shinogi, the Japanese craft of carving fine ridges into a pot. A full, round body narrows at the shoulder into a short neck. The foot is smooth; above it, fine vertical ribs run up to the lip and catch the light as it moves around the room.
