Zug is German for a move in chess. Each piece wears its move on top: the rook a straight cross, the bishop a diagonal one, the queen a star of all eight directions, the king a ring of single steps, the knight an L, the pawn one short stroke forward. You learn the game by looking at it. 32 pieces in white and black, made for 40 mm squares, in a fitted box. The board is not included.
